Minase Sangin

Minase Sangin
5) through Sogi’s use of personification, contrast the poem is appeals to our senses, the poet intentions for writing this poem is to give people a sense of the atmosphere and how contrasting the landscape can be, this is scene when the poet says “at twilight on a spring day”, and “dying in the morning sky, also when Sogi says “fresh in spring colour.” And “the autumn is drawing to its close”.

6) through the poem it can be learnt that the landscapes is very contrasting, also that the atmosphere is very gloomy, this is shown when the poem says “dying in the morning sky wrapped in a heavy fog…the ground is covered with frost”, the contrasting scenery is shown, in the first four stanzas the scenery is described as “fresh in spring colour”, suggesting the scenery is full of life, where as in the last four stanzas the scenery is described as “dying in the morning sky…autumn is drawing to a close.”. from the pets view there seems to be mountains covered in snow, a river, withering grass and a single willow tree.

7) you can learn that the poet takes in there surroundings and that they like to be calm and isolated.
